Messier Object M63 is a Galaxy which was discovered by 1779 Pierre Méchain. It has an angular size of 10 x 6 arc minutes.

Location:
M63 is located within the borders of the constellation Canes Venatici at Right Ascension 13 15.8 and Declination 42 02. It is 37,000 light years from the planet Earth making it the 86th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
In relation to the other objects from the Messier catalog, M63 is a relatively dim deep sky object with a visual magnitude of 8.6.
