The Messier Object M50 is a Open Cluster which was discovered by G.D. Cassini in approximately 1711. It has an angular size of 16 arc minutes.

Location:
M50 is located inside the constellation Monoceros at Right Ascension 07 03.2 and Declination -08 20. It is 3,000 light years from Earth making it the 22nd furthest Messier Object from Earth.
