The Messier Object M39 is a Open Cluster which was discovered by Charles Messier in 1764. It has an angular size of 32 arc minutes.

Location:
M39 is located within the borders of the constellation Cygnus at Right Ascension 21 32.2 and Declination 48 26. It is 825 light years from the planet Earth making it the 5th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
Compared to the other Messier Objects, M39 is a relatively bright deep space object with a visual magnitude of 4.6.
