Description

Overview:
Messier Object M27 is a Planetary Nebula which was discovered by Charles Messier in 1764. It has an angular size of 8.0 x 5.7 arc minutes.

Location:
M27 is located inside the constellation Vulpecula at RA 19 59.6 and Declination 22 43. It is 1,250 light years from the planet Earth making it the 6th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
Compared to other Messier Objects, M27 is a relatively bright deep sky object with a brightness rating of 7.4.
