Overview:
The Messier Object M25 is a Open Cluster which was discovered by Philippe Loys de Chéseaux in 1745-1746. It has an angular size of 40 arc minutes.

Location:
M25 is located within the borders of the constellation Sagittarius at Right Ascension 18 31.6 and Declination -19 15. It is 2,000 light years from the planet Earth which makes it the 13th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
In relation to other Messier Objects, M25 is a relatively bright deep space object with a visual magnitude of 6.5.
