Description

Overview:
Messier Object M13 is a Globular Cluster which was discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714. It has an angular size of 16.6 arc minutes.

Location:
M13 is located within the borders of the constellation Hercules at RA 16 41.7 and Declination 36 28. It is 25,100 light years from Earth which makes it the 53rd furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
In relation to the other Messier Objects, M13 is a relatively bright deep space object with a visual magnitude of 5.8.
