The Messier Object M11 is a Open Cluster discovered by Gottfried Kirch in 1681. It has an angular size of 14 arc minutes.

Location:
M11 is located within the borders of the constellation Scutum at Right Ascension 18 51.1 and Declination -06 16. It is 6,000 light years from Earth which makes it the 37th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
In relation to the other Messier Objects, M11 is a bright deep space object with a visual magnitude of 6.3.
