Messier Object M1 is a Supernova Remnant discovered by John Bevis in 1731. It has an angular size of 6 x 4 arc minutes.

Location:
M1 is located within the borders of the constellation Taurus at Right Ascension 05 34.5 and Declination 22 01. It is 6,300 light years from Earth making it the 38th furthest Messier Object from Earth.

Brightness:
Compared to other Messier Objects, M1 is a dim deep sky object with a visual magnitude of 8.4.
