Oxalidaceae
The Oxalidaceae, or wood sorrel family, is a small family of eight genera of herbaceous plants, shrubs and small trees, with the great majority of the 900 species in the genus Oxalis. Members of this family typically have divided leaf, the leaflets showing "sleep movements", spreading open in light and closing in darkness.

Oxalis
Oxalis is the largest genus in the wood sorrel family Oxalidaceae. Of the approximately 900 known species in the Oxalidaceae, 800 belong to Oxalis. Many of the species are known as Wood Sorrel or Woodsorrel. The genus occurs throughout most of the world, except for the polar areas; species diversity is particularly rich in tropical Brazil and Mexico and in South Africa.

Oxalis pes-caprae
Oxalis pes-caprae is a species of flowering plant in the wood sorrel family Oxalidaceae. Known as soursob or sourgrass in Australia, the species is considered an invasive weed in all parts of the country. References

Oxaloacetic acid
Oxaloacetic acid, also known as oxosuccinic acid or oxalacetic acid, is a four-carbon dicarboxylic acid appearing as an intermediate of the citric acid cycle. In vivo, oxaloacetate is formed by the oxidation of L-Malic acid, catalysed by malate dehydrogenase, and reacts with Acetyl-CoA to form citrate, catalysed by citrate synthase.

Oxaprozin
Oxaprozin is a nonnarcotic, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, used to relieve the inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Chemically, it is a propionic acid derivative. Available in 600mg tablets. Normal adult dosage is 1200mg daily, not to exceed 1800mg per day.

Oxazepam
Oxazepam is a drug which is a benzodiazepine derivative. It possesses anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative and skeletal muscle relaxant properties.

Oxbow lake
An oxbow lake is a type of lake which is formed when a wide meander from a stream or a river is cut off to form a lake. They are called oxbow lakes due to the distinctive curved shape that results from this process. In Australia, an oxbow lake is called a billabong.

Oxeye daisy
The oxeye daisy is a widespread flowering plant native to Europe and the temperate regions of Asia. It is one of a number of plants to be called by the common name daisy. It is also sometimes called moon daisy or dog daisy. It is a perennial prostrate herb with small flower head that consists of about 20 white ray flowers and numerous yellow disc flowers, growing on the end of the Plant stem.

Oxford
Oxford is a City status in the United Kingdom and Non-metropolitan district in Oxfordshire, England, with a population of 134,248 . It is home to the University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English language-speaking world.

Oxford English Dictionary
The Oxford English Dictionary is a dictionary published by the Oxford University Press , and is generally regarded as the most comprehensive, accurate, and scholarly dictionary of the English language. As of November 30, 2005 it included about 301,100 main entries, comprising over 350 million printed characters.

Oxford Movement
The Oxford Movement was a loose affiliation of High Church Anglicans, most of them members of the University of Oxford, who sought to demonstrate that the Church of England was a direct descendant of the Christianity church established by the Apostles. It was also known as the Tractarian Movement after its series of publications, Tracts for the Times; the Tractarians were also called Puseyites after one of their leaders, Edward Bouverie Pusey, Regius Professor of Hebrew language

Oxidation state
In chemistry, the oxidation state is a measure of the degree of oxidation of an atom in a chemical compound. It is the hypothetical Electrical charge that an atom would have if all bonds to atoms of different elements were 100% ionic. Oxidation states are represented by Arabic numerals, and are always associated with a sign unless zero.

Oxidizing agent
An oxidizing agent is referred to as #A chemical compound that readily transfers oxygen atoms or #A substance that gains electrons in a redox chemical reaction. The former definition is more applicable to what most people read about. It is also the sense that most organic chemistrys use the term.

Oxime

Oxygen
Oxygen is a chemical element with the chemical symbol O and atomic number 8. Oxygen is the second most common element on Earth, composing around 49% of the mass of Earth's crust and 28% of the mass of Earth as a whole, and is the third most common element in the universe.

Oxygen mask
An oxygen mask provides a method to transfer breathing oxygen gas from a storage tank to the lungs. Oxygen masks may cover the nose and mouth or the entire face. They may be made of plastic , silicon , or rubber.

Oxytetracycline
Oxytetracycline was the second of the broad-spectrum antibiotic tetracycline antibiotics of antibiotics to be discovered.

Oxytocin
Oxytocin is a mammalian hormone that also acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain. In women, it is released mainly after distention of the cervix and vagina during labor, and after stimulation of the nipples, facilitating childbirth and breastfeeding, respectively.

Oyster
The name oyster is used for a number of different groups of molluscs which grow for the most part in marine or brackish water. The shell, usually highly calcified, surrounds a soft body. Gills filter plankton from the water, and strong adductor muscles are used to hold the shell closed. Some of these groups are highly prized as food, both raw and cooked.

Oyster mushroom
The Oyster mushroom, or Pleurotus ostreatus, is a common mushroom prized for its edibility and lack of confusing look-alikes. It is related to the "Pleurotus eryngii".

Oystercatcher
The Oystercatchers are a group of waders; they form the family Haematopodidae, which has a single genus, Haematopus. They are large obvious and noisy plover-like birds, with strong bills used for smashing or prising open molluscs. In some species, the bill shape varies according to the diet.

Ozone
Ozone is a triatomic molecule, consisting of three oxygen atoms. It is an allotrope of oxygen that is much less stable than the diatomic species O2. It is present in low concentrations throughout the Earth's atmosphere. It has many industrial and consumer applications as well as being used in ozone therapy.

Ozone layer
The ozone layer, or ozonosphere layer , is that part of the Earth's atmosphere which contains relatively high concentrations of ozone . "Relatively high" means a few parts per million - much higher than the concentrations in the lower atmosphere but still small compared to the main components of the atmosphere.
