The Triangulum Galaxy is a galaxy which is located in the constellation Triangulum at the coordinates RA 01 33.9 and Declination 30 39. It is 3,000,000 light years from the planet Earth making it the 75th furthest Messier catalog object from Earth. It has a size of 73 x 45 arc minutes.

Designation:
The Triangulum Galaxy is one of twelve galaxies included in Charles Messier's Catalog of deep sky objects. It is known by the Messier Catalog number M33. It has an NGC catalog number of NGC 598.

Discoverer:
The Triangulum Galaxy was discovered by the astronomer Giovanni Battista Hodierna before 1654.

Brightness:
Compared to other galaxies, Triangulum Galaxy is a relatively luminous galaxy with an integrated visual magnitude of 5.7.
