Were Jesus Christ were to come tomorrow, are you ready?

Since you believe, in your heart, that Jesus is the Christ,
you have been called by Him. Then Help the faint of heart Only, the others are blined, and will never see.

Such a defeatist attitude from a christian...now I have heard it all

never stop, never quit, never shut up

the blind see a world we cannot understand but that world is still the one God made. Who are we to judge what only the blind and God can see?

As I see it faith comes by hearing the word of God preached. It is at that point the Holy Spirit uses the word and convicts the sinner of sin and convinces the sinner of salvation, by faith in christ. God himself opens our hearts door for us to see the truth of the gospel. The bible says we are dead in trespasses and sins and cannot on our own volition come to God so how is it the blind can come unless we preach it and unless God opens their hearts? Again the bible says we are born of the will of god not of our own will so how is that the blind can come to god without his help? Who exactly saves us? Is it our own willingness to come to him because we have a heart for the gospel or are we drawn to God as Jesus said , No man can come to me unless my father draws him.

Michaelesso,
It has not crossed my mind that Dawn is stupid! I am only quoting the scripture as to what has been written down for us to read and if I read it correctly Jesus did say , No one can come to me unless the Father draws him. So who are you angry at me or the bible?

Okay...don't worry, I'm the first to admit I know nothing. I don't want to know anything because once you KNOW something, you can never again learn about that thing.

By stating that all those who do not know Jesus Christ are blind, the original post says that only those who know Christ can see.

Just because blind people do not 'see' the material world as we see it, doesn't mean they don't see at all. They just see differently.
They are often far more aware of certain things than sighted people, like the character in the movie and book Contact who could hear the patterns in the noise that no one else could hear and thus helped discover the message from the stars.
The seeing world often pities blind people but who do blind people pity?

I have a deaf daughter who chose to remain deaf because, as a deaf person, she could see liars much more clearly than I or other hearing people can and do. She's the one who told me the guy I was dating was lying long before there was any evidence of a lie. She was correct. Now she screens all my potential lovers.

My point is; it doesn't matter how you come to God. There is not right way, no wrong way, no proven method, no absolute truth. Many very religious people have no clue about God and many non religious people see God far more clearly than the best and brightest priest of preacher.
Statements like the one opening this thread are divisive. They make one group better than another. That is not God, nor does it describe anything about God.

God is.
you find Him when you give it up to Him and no one can tell YOU how you should go about doing that. You have to figure it out on your own.
The really good news is that, even if you NEVER figure it out, you are forgiven and loved beyond human comprehension. The really strange thing about this statement is that, when you understand that simple truth...there's God smiling down at you and clapping.

God loves us all. We propose nothing in His sight. There is nothing you can do that will ever shock Him or surprise Him or make Him turn from loving you.
Sin is when you turn from God. He never turns from you.

see, this is why I'm so happy
'cause, I've been a very bad girl and there's really no end in sight

LOL
Dawn

::::Singing::: I can see clearly now the rain is gone...I can see all obstacles in my way...gone are the dark clouds that had me down...it's gonna be a bright, sun shiny day!

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone...all of those bad feelings have disappeared...here is that rainbow I've been waiting for...its gonna be a bright, bright, sun shiny day!

Look all around! there's nothing but blue sky! Look straight ahead! There's nothing but NEW SKY!...

the hippies almost had it right, then they got too stoned and forgot what they were thinking! but, they left us the music and the words...tomorrows myth and legend? Could we be so lucky?

Mike, We can not come to Christ by faith unless we are already born again, because faith is a fruit of the Spirit and we don't have the Spirit until we are born of the Spirit. We don't come to God, He comes to us first by quickening us from a carnal state to a Spiritual state. God does not open a carnal mans heart, but gives him his spirit that guides him in all truths. If the carnal man could come to God he could say that his eternal salvation was because of something that he did, and that's not possible.
