My Question: Will the Maya calendar end in the year 2012?

There is new evidence presented by Carl de Borhegyi (goggle image for monkey petroglyph), son of the late Maya archaeologist Dr. Stephan F. de Borhegyi of a petroglyph from Mexico of a monkey with a probable Long Count date, jumping from a mushroom with a Venus star in his right hand. The petroglyph and other archaeological evidence suggests that the GMT correlation by which all Maya dates are currently measured is off by 260 years, and that Herbert Spinden's correlation of the Mayan calendar with the European calendar is the right correlation after all. Let the correlation debates continue.....

Most likely not but there is a slight chance.
