I have information that my Great-uncle Ethan E. Burroughs ( 6th Vermont Co. G) was wounded on June 1, 1864 during the Battle of Cold Harbor, and died on June 3, 1864 at the field hospital at J. Leary's farm. I have been unable to find any information regarding a field hospital or anything pertaining to J. Leary's farm. Does anyone have any information regarding the field hospitals that the Union set up during the Battle of Cold Harbor June1-3 1864? I have checked the records of Garthright house that was used as a field hospital and his name was not listed.
Appreciate any information or suggestions as where to search next.
