I am looking for some help with a personal issue. My mother was born in November 1944 and was later adopted. Her mother was a lady named May who lived in Lanarkshire at this time and all she really knows about the man who is her father is that he was 22 and a young officer at the time.

We have been led to believe that the young man left for France before her birth and never knew he had a daughter.

She has always wondered about her father and as she is getting older herself, would like to know more about him.

Can anyone help?

All we are looking for is some information so we can pass this on to her grandson (who is four) as he wants to know about his family.
