Why king janaka who in those time though not an eater of flesh was hunting . when he inadvertantly killed the son of the two blinds.
i can understand Rama shot the deer with intent to capture it as per the wish of Sita but then killed it when Rama came to know his true identity

First of all let me say that it was not King Jannak but King Dasarath who killed Sarwan kumar thinking it was a deer... It should be known that it was not against the rules of Kshatriya to eat meat However I can say that as a young man and from the Kshatriya race one would love to practice the art of using the arrow and bow. In the day he used his eyes to test his skills but in the dark he wanted to test his skills by using his ear.To clear your doubts...What needs is there for a young prince to go hunting for food?
