Why is the Blarney Stone set into the wall at the top of Blarney Castle? I've just returned from a wonderful trip to Ireland, where my wife and I kissed the Blarney Stone and I've read many myths or possible origins of the Stone, but never have I heard WHY the stone was set in this particular spot of the wall at the top of the castle (as opposed to any other much more accessible location in Blarney Castle). Anyone know the why?

If they had known people were going to want to kiss it, maybe they would have put it somewhere else.
