The pre-colonial, traditional boarders of Kakwa lands have not moved but when the colonial maps were drawn the Kakwa lands were divided. Hence the reason why the Kakwa people seem to be situated at the boarders. The Kakwa nation occupied that land since their setllement in this area before the colonial era. Because the Kakwa were one entity, of one culture, language,and history. Then when the modren political geography of African were done by the colonial they divided The Kakwa people in to three Countires and they remain in the same area where they setlled before, so it became difficult to separate them or trnasport other portion of the Kakwa to another land far away from their mother land of their origin.So it is not by chance that the Kakwa land is situited at the boarders.
