Why does Susan not think about Mark having beer and a joint? Betsy, jeff, and David are proably used to it, but wouldn't susan find it has a surprise or at least not like it?

I agree. I'm sure that Susan wouldn't approve of it, so I don't understand why the author didn't say anything about Susan's thoughts on Mark and his actions. Then again, maybe Susan didn't have a problem with this kind of stuff. Who knows...
