As you know, Goths were diveded into three nations.

- The Visigoths finally founded a kingdom in Spain, with Toledo as capital. This kingdom prospered for two centuries, but it lost influence on France (after the pluridecennial war against Franchs) and eventually lost most of its territories during the muslim invasion of the VIII century.

- The Gepids were a confederation of tribes living across the Danube river, in correspondence of the present Hungary. They were strongly subjected to Longobardians and they disappeared when the Slavic invasions threathened the eastern europe.

- The Ostrogoths, under Theodoricus, estabilished in Italy, replacing the weak government of Odoacer and founding a strong kingdom, whose influence and power was well recognized in Spain and in France. Theodoricus was the "referee" of the foreign policies of the new germanic kingdoms. After his death, a civil war broke out and this favourished the bloody reconquest of Italy made by Justinian. In Italy, Ostrogoths were a minority and in the course of the years they amalgamated with roman-italic people.
