.......When braking there is a loud banging noise from the front of the car,then the ABS warning light comes on and the noise stops. The Peugeot dealer could not find a problem with the ABS . Any suggestions cant...

cant belive how many people who own a 307 have the same problem....soon as i get it fixed i will post what is wrong and hope it will help someone else and save them money

Check the brake ROTORS and see if they are worn excessively,If they have deep grooves on the surface area, or are too thin, with discoloring on the surface, you should put new ones on the front of the car. IF you buy new ROTORS for the front brakes, have a mechanic put them on a surfacing machine to check if they are TRUE on both sides,Then install the rotors with a set of new semi-metallic brake pads.......
