What would happen if a black hole came too close to a neutron star? if a neutron star is the densest thing in the universe and presumably can not be made any smaller or denser could a black hole destroy it? or would the star remain in one piece joined to the black hole thus increasing the gravitational pull of the two bodies? if so, could it cause a mythical tear in the fabric of the space/time continuum? i understand this is an impossible circumstance. but i am curious, what if?
