Reagan wasn't the most famous actor, he did mostly B films, but critics often liked them. Peter Bogdanovich called Tennessee's Partner his "most likable performance."

He played Captain Casey Abbott in Hellcats of the Navy and that's why he's idolized by the Navy.

Bedtime for Bonzo, a 1951 comedy, is one of Reagan's most well-known films though he himself never saw it.
