These days most backpacks are inner-frame, which means the frame is sewn into the pack and you can't see it. This is more comfortable and convenient than older external frame designs.

Don't skimp on your backpack. A cheap backpack will fall apart and be of no use to you anymore. Also, it could injure your back.

Look for a backpack that zips open along the length; it will be easier to get your things out.
