What is the official LCMS position regarding the Israeli Palestinian conflict? Do they think Israel should give them the land that God gave to them?

I had a vision yesterday in which God gave me your house. Do you think you should be required to hand it over just because I assert that God gave it to me?

Rightly said god gave land but man built houses
I agree that the Israelites should leave because if tommorow someone else is more powerful and he takes land from you then you will not take action against them
if some some one tries to occupy my country and start building homes like you have done i will definitively defend my country

You are missing the point entirely. The problem is the assertion itself. Should someone in possession of something (land, a house, or anything) be required to give it to me just because I assert that God gave it to me?

There is no proof that God gave anything to any person or ethnic group. Yes, it is written in the Torah, but this is not proof. There are countless ancient religious texts from the many religions of the world. We cannot make them all legally binding in the modern day world.

Religion is a matter of faith, so by definition it cannot be legally binding. Any civilised judical system relies on proof, evidence and a paper trail to establish ownership.
But lets face facts, The jewish people are not going anywhere. They and Israel are here to stay.

All the armed might of the arab nations has never dented Israels resolve and I doubt it ever will.

The problem isn't how to get rid of Israel. The problem is how do the arab nations and Israel learn to live in peace with each other.

First Israel should stop building settlements on Palastinan Land and the Palastinians should stop all terrorists attacks against Israel. Then both sides need to accept that a peaceful attitude of mutual respect will get them a lot further than this ridiculus never ending war.

The Palastian people need a homeland and they should get it with full nation status. Israel must accept this and do everything it can to help. Palistine must forego violence and learn to live in peace as must Israel.

Nations living side by side in peace trading with each other and sharing their individual cultures are always far more prosperous and secure.

Please forget the religios aspect of the disput. Religious arguements are always unhelpful and usually come down to who has the most powerful imaginary friend.

It is undeniably true that both sides must demonstrate their commitment to peace.

What is often overlooked, however, is that the Palestinians in the West Bank have renounced terrorism. There have been no suicide bombings in almost a decade.

Despite this progress, Israel continues its settlement activities. There is nothing left for the Palestinians to do to achieve their independence but to take their grievances to the United Nations.

Unfortunately, the US has proven that it will not allow this peaceful action to succeed.

True but unfortunately the palestinians in Gaza City have continued their terrorist activities giving Israel an excuse to continue it building programe and other repressive activities.

The USA is at fault in refusing to pressure Israel into genuine peace negotiations. Unfortunately the Jewish lobby in the USA is very powerful and no politican dares to stand up to them.
