f^nabla (t)=(f(sigma(t))-f(t))/(sigma(t)-t)
=(sigma^2 (t)-t)/(sigma(t)-t)
=(sigma(t)-t)(sigma(t)+t)/(sigma(t)-t)
=sigma(t)+ t,

where sigma(t) is the forward jump operator.
