The ensuing breakdown of the family can never be a completely stress free transition.
Of course if the family stays together that brings its own stresses and strains too, as now the relationship has changed.
In this context, if you have children and commit adultery you are certainly acting in a totally self centred way, knowing that your children are going to be affected on different levels.
