Not sure how many george blount hostels there were, but on leaving a childrens home in 1959 i went to a george blount hostel in streatham south london.it was run by a couple called mr and mrs sex.they were good people and were doing a difficult job with boys from varied and troubled background. It was a very emotional time for me as i knew nobody and was a very naive 15 yearold and was somewhat frightened of the big wide world of which i knew nothing.I beleive the hostel is now a small block of flats or offices (and the old kingdom hall run by the jehovas society is still next door, after all these years). but not sure how long they have been there as i left and went into digs when i turned 18 and am now 67.whoever asked about the old place may be an old resident like myself and possibly we may know each other but admit my memory is not that brill anymore but would like to hear from you although your enquiry was 2 years back my email address is with thesociety or reply back in this forum. i will check back occasionally.
