They are not the same person; Darley born 1821, Pyle 1853. They both were famous, well known illustrators. Pyle lived in Wilmington DE .. Darley (1859-1888 death) lived in nearby Claymont DE. Plyle taught many well known artists / illustrators; Darley did not "teach." It is said that Pyle was influenced by Darley ... as to becoming an illustrator, but NOT in style. Darley illustrated over 500 books and 100's of magazine articles .. quite likely he did Knights, but I am not aware of any of note.
