An interesting question... What prompts you to feel Christianity is "different" in other parts of the world?

If the book from which they're deriving their belief is the same the world over, then there is no legitimate excuse for Christianity to be different.

Some use the excuse that it should be taken literally, while others say that it must be interpreted (as many figurative parables and discussions occur throughout both the Old and New Testaments). The very fact that Jesus spoke in parables (and had to explain them to His disciples) is indicative of figurative language and the need for interpretative study.

Now, disagreements over what those interpretations should be can be a reason for differences in Christianity throughout the world.
