The main cause of global warming is the release of greenhouse gases by human activities. It’s time we began contributing to a safe environment by planting more trees, using green products, recycling materials instead of throwing them away, and conserving the natural resources of the earth. For instance water can be conserved at home by following simple steps like turning off the faucet when brushing your teeth, taking shorter showers, installing a smart sprinkler controller, fixing leaky faucets, and washing only full loads of laundry. The primary causes of the Global Warming/CLIMATE CHANGE are the natural processes or the functions of the planet, I think. Global Warming is one of the effects or outcomes of the natural cyclic process or function called Climate Change. There are three more basic global effects or outcomes that do happen through a complete Climate Change cycle. One of the three it is what we call Ice Age and the other two are the intermediaries.
According to my understanding the real Global Warming ended some 5ooo years ago. From then till now the climate has been going through one of the intermediaries and I think it is about to shift gears towards the Ice Age.The momentary global warming that seams to be happening it is only a short term side effect of that gear shifting.
The underlining planetary processes that do shape and fuse the Climate Change cycle are too complex but it is obvious that the green house effect it is one of the main links on that chain.I think it is the feedback process to the whole system and it goes through its own cyclic natural changing pattern.
My answer to your question is that the primary causes of Global Warming/Climate Change,in principle, are due to natural phenomena and natural events.
It is only my opinion, not an accepted scientific knowledge or fact.Another angle to look at it. :-)

For me global warming is a serious problem that we aare facing right now! one of the major cause of the global warming is too much abuse of our natural resourcess because of the factories that emmits carbon dioxide that is the main ingredients in global warming!

It's mainly pollution through air

While the previous reply s are factors that are accelerating global warming they root cause. Understand I am not saying human activity has no affect but the primary cause was the question am I correct? Humans have the need to make everything about themselves they even thought the the universe revolved around them but they are not the reason for everything.
Did you know the earth recently geologically speaking was in a full blown ice age? It was not deforestation or industrialization that caused this to end. The global environment experiences cycles and can fluctuate within these cycles. Look up the geological periods and you will see that the leading up to and during the Jurassic and the Carboniferous periods the climate went into an extreme warming cycle. The earth is simply at the beginning of another warming trend. So while human activity is accelerating the process its not the root cause. I could explain why these cycles occur but that would require an understanding of the nature of the universe that most are not ready for. Hope this helped

Greenhouse effect is one cause of Global warming and human activities have caused most of the warming.
Well basically, it's US, that is the main cause of Global Warming.

The main cause of global warming is the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This gas is released primarily from the combustion of fossil fuels from cars, power plants, and factories.

Another main cause (and one that is often not discussed) is deforestation.
Trees filter the air of carbon by taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen.
