What are the Greek symbols used for Alpha Kappa Alpha and what are their significance?

The Greek symbols are AKA, just like in the English alphabet. The letters themselves have no special significance as far as I am aware. The tradition of naming academic societies with Greek letters began with Phi Beta Kappa in 1776.

I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. The letters do carry specific significance, but it is only known to members.
