Does anyone have any experience with this next subjet

Whilst heatsetting Nylon Carpet yarn there is a systematic weight loss of about 1% more than the loss of humidity

We have mesured the oil & water content before and after, these equate to about 2% weight loss but the yarn is loosing 3%

Can anyone answer the question - Why ?
