We want to design a simulation rig for checking the thrust bearing cage fitted at the tail rotor of MI 17 helicopters
There are three of them fitted.
The case assembly consists of two rows of rollers.
The outer row has 27 & inner row has 21 rollers
The roller size is Diameter 12 mm & Length 21 mm.
We would like to apply the thrust load by means of a hydraulic cylinder to simulate the load conditions.
Can we know the maximum load that is required to be applied?
What is generally the factor of safety to be considered?
