We have a large oak tree in our yard and the Spanish moss
is overwhelming the tree. I have removed some over the years but it has now too much. The question I have is there a way to get rid of the moss?

There is no way to rid the tree of the moss unless you remove every piece of it. If the tree is a good host the moss will regrow . You have your work cut out.

I wish you could cut it down and send it to me...funny you don't want it and I need some....we have a tree company, mistletoe is hard to get rid of, some people will just cut the mistletoe off, we cut the whole branch off, this helps, but some still returns.....
