We have a huge chinese fan palm that was the center focal point of our back yard this summer, Now we have brought it indoors for the winter. We live in central North Carolina. We have had success with a large bird of paradise for the past 2 or 3 years and hope to do the same with this palm. Its only been indoors a couple of weeks but already looks unhappy. the frons have started drooping lower and lower. Its still green. Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how to keep it over the winter. We have it in a fairly large pot and would hate to see it die here in its first winter. Our bird does better with less watering indoors. Would the palm be better with less water too?
