We have a caterpillar that looks like an emperor gum moth caterpillar and has just made a cocoon like the Emperor gum moth cocoon- but it is pink not green, are they sometimes pink?

We have a caterpillar that looks like an emperor gum moth caterpillar and has just made a cocoon like the Emperor gum moth cocoon- but it is pink not green, are they sometimes pink?
