It was just a group of school children who had formed a club.

No, Eric and Dylan weren't even in. They worked with and were good friends of the leader. They had their own trench coats and they liked what the Mafia stood for, but, apparently, they were never official members.

And it didn't appear to be a very dangerous group. Hell, I like the look of trench coats. Then again, every school I went to had a dress code. None of them were strict, but trench coats and spaghetti straps were definite no-nos. Hats usually were, too.

Actually, now that I think about one of the high schools I went to was very lax. One guy showed up repeatedly in a trench coat, but none of the teachers cared. And that was only a couple years after Columbine happened. We had open campus, girls dressed very sluttily, and there was even grounds were kids went out to do pot and smoke and even the principal knew about it and would warn the freshman to stay away from it. We had ten minutes between classes, restaurants in our cafeteria, and dozens of vending machines, even a cappachino machine.

Man, what I wouldn't have given to be able to graduate from there. Sadly, we moved my senior year to a very horrible school that charged $4 for "hot lunches" which were peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. No, seriously, it was disturbing.

I could see how today trench coats would raise alarm bells, what with people trying to "copycat."
