Was cleaning a malin 22, 60 model. took the barrel and action off the stock, to spray cleaner into the action. while cycling the slide and spraying the cleaner the slid jamed in the full open position. What would cause this, and how do I fix it? I have pushed the lever for it to return to full closed and tried to move it, but it stays stuck in the full open position. Any ideas? Thanks, Keith.

Let me know if anybody got you on right track to making it work again, -- I haven't taken one apart in years, and I gave away my mod 60 about 5 years ago! But check to make sure there isn't a magazine, cycle block that keeps bolt from going forward when no ammunition is in rifle.. This would be to keep you from thinking it is loaded and finding out that it was not! If you have one, it can be pushed down with finger (or a pencil, while bolt pulled back slightly, and then removing pencil or finger as bolt moves forward about 1/4"... Then it will go all the way back in! This was real common in military rifles, because you can die quickly trying to kill somebody with an empty rifle!

You can get complete "parts breakdown" from Numrich - Gun parts-- They have big website on internet that has almost every gun ever built laid out for parts,-- and they have lots and lots of repair/replacement parts for sale!

BTW the Icon at left looks a whole lot like me!

I tried pushing the bar down, and it actualy moved alot but didnt return the slide to the half closed or the fully closed position. I was almost ready to give up, and then I got to thinking what if the same bar was cocked just a little and the slid was catching on it. So I turned the barrel and actiong over and pushed up on it and it slid to the half closed, then pushing the lever, it returned to fully closed. Thank you for the input I dont know how long or if I would have ever figured that out. Thanks for the help.Thank you for taking the time to help me. Thanks, Keith.
