Was Lord Charles Somerset responsible for segregating schools on the Eastern Frontier viz. Bethelsdorp and Uitenhage in 1815? According to a history text he declared that the children of the slaves, the Khoi and the Xhosas could not school together with the children of the settlers. Is this correct?
