Will you tell me that? You ask people for their opinions and then trash everyone that doesn't say he was straight. WHY did you start this conversation? I think you were afraid to find out eventually that Jack was possibly gay otherwise why would you post your query on this board in the first place? As for my initial question, yes I did ask that because there were quite a few accusations of him being gay, but they All came AFTER the guy had Died and could Not Defend himself or sue their miserable arses. That's what cowards do. My curiosity got the best of me and so I wanted to know from folks who Knew Jack Best. And they All Adamantly said, "This was ridiculous as he was straight and devoted to his Marie". From then on, I was satisfied and decided to put these malicious people and their scum rumors of the Gay filth to rest. I went after any and all of them that dared say Jack was gay (I then told them they could be sued for this filthy lie). One nut job even emailed me and said, "first, what is wrong with being gay" and then she threatened to sue me as she claimed she was Jack's last living relative or some such and wanted me to stop blogging-well I took care of her post haste and said, "Bring It On Ding Bat" as I worked for the police dept and you don't have a leg to stand on as first, you have no proof that you are related to Jack Lord, and second, you have to show that he was maligned in any way. Of course, I never heard from the nut case again. But this goes with the territory. There are always crazy arses out there and I am not afraid of them. As for you, I simply questioned if you were indeed a fan of his, then why this constant doubt over an ugly rumor Based on No facts at all. Whereas, there are documents, folks who knew both of them and yes, enemies who all say Jack Lord was straight. Then there is the biographer who took the time to correct things that were Not true on his life, but still included the ex-wife and son, which proved to me that this was true. And yes, death, marriage, etc. records ARE public, but you STILL have to pay for them.

Just like Kathy did and just like Sapphire did. They are true fans and they found this discussion/opinion of Jack being gay horrible lies to smear his character. It wasn't them that sent me horrible stuff on Marie based on a so-called neighbor who doesn't know sh-t. They didn't do this Bumbleebee. Jack and Marie were devoted to each other and devout. He was straight and followed God's path the rest of his life and for this, he was smeared (by only opinion) as being gay. The old adage should hold true in this case Bumbleebee, if your opinion is hurtful to someone, then you shouldn't say it, especially if it is just that, an opinion. Negative opinions should Not be made public, on anyone.

To argue is a waste of time. But what you finally admitted about Jack was All that he was entitled to. No smear, no doubts (unless facts are there to discount those doubts). That's all Bumblebee, that is what a true fan would have said from the beginning. Until something is Ever proven, Mr. Lord and his wife deserve to be remembered as the upstanding, faithful, Straight, devout couple they were. That's all.

That's where I traced the ugly rumors about JL, back to a gay website. I figured this is where all that garbage of him being gay came from. As to why fans who were "infatuated" with JL would keep these rumors going, I don't believe that, but when you come across a blog or story that comes out of the blue, mixed in with some truths about JL being difficult to work with (after all he had his faults like everyone else), fans start to wonder. But I can assure you that none of his fans (including me), ever would believe such trash without bonafide facts, not supposition or wishful thinking from a group of gays who probably had a crush on him and wanted to "feed their fantasy".

I agree with you wholeheartedly! Everything I've ever read about Jack being gay or bi comes from sites that offer no proof so perhaps you are correct in assuming the rumors are started by fans who had a crush on him and are fulfilling their own wishful thinking. I read somewhere that Jack was seen with underage boys and that's where I draw the line! That is really one horrible conjecture on someone's part-to insinuate that Jack was a pedophile? Writing something like that makes me sick!
