Okay, so thoes of you whom have read the short story "The Monkey's Paw" the author, W. W. Jacobs, does any one have any thoughts on how he died? Every website that I have checked on, all say the same thing. 'Cause of death unspecified'.

At that time it could be difficult to pinpoint cause of death, as doctors did not have the medical technology they do now, and many diseases, such as cancer, which are common now, were then rare.
