I read about South Africa being the primary host for the square kilometer radio telescope array, and this will add thousands of miles of baseline to what was planned to be primarily an Australian radio telescope. I would also try to add communications satellites and the International Space Station to the square kilometer array before dedicating microsatellite launches of radio telescopes for this purpose. NASA may even want to fund the launching of piggyback radio telescope satellites to add baseline to the square kilometer array. I would also try to covert cell phone towers into radio telescopes to add even more baseline to the array. Cell phone tower additions in Australia and New Zealand may get the total collection area to well over one square kilometer.
