Two questions:

were there cooking and water-heating facilities on board this plane? If not, how did passengers sustain a long journey?

How did the engineer fuel the plane during a long flight? I've read that he pumped fuel into the tanks, but if the tanks were on the upper wing, where was the pump sited, and where was the spare fuel?
