This is a question I have for homework and need futher understanding. " Assume you have a channel bandwidth of 10 kHz. Assume the channel symbol rate is equal to the upper bound of the Nyquist rate for the channel. Yes, you have to research what the Nyquist rate is for a given channel bandwidth. Assume each symbol has eight levels. Assume you use QAM. How many bits per second can you transmit. Of course, show and explain your calculations". If you can supply some examples of the calculations this would be helpful.
