There is a legend that the lane that Thomas walked from either Winterbourne Earls or Old Sarum to Clarendon Palace is always green, Summer & Winter. Does anyone have evidence of his stay in the Salisbury area. This was when there was a Romanesque (Norman) Cathedral next to the Norman Castle at Old Sarum. Any information would be appreciated.
