There are thirteen figures in Castagno,s "The Last Supper. Has there been anything known about the thirteenth person? Could it be the figure bent down over Christ,s hand? The face has no beard so it most likely would be a woman. Unless Castagno made a statement on that figure it seems to me there would be a lot of comment on this.
