The syndic managing my apartment in Bandol , near Toulon , sent the quarterly management charge invoices to an incorrect address ni the UK. As a result , I was late paying one invoice in 2006 ! The syndic imposed penalties / fines for late payment that , were disproportionate to the sum involved ( 150E ) The syndic went the huissiers and obtained a judgement ordering me to pay ---- all documents were sent to the french address without my knowledge and I was never allowed to argue my case in court with the huissiers. The judgement was for E4500 --- based on an accumulation of late payment charges / translation / legal costs. The late / unpaid invoice was for E150 !!

What recourse do I have ?? Apparently there is no appeal process ?
