While researching the Hebrew Eden Text it came to my attention that not only does the Hebrew Masoretic Version bear absolutely no resemblance to either the Greek or the English versions, but that within the Hebrew Version of the Eden Text there are numerous riddles and metaphors; suggesting that the Hebrew Version may be a “Wisdom Literature” composition. I also noticed that the Hebrew Eden Narrative begins by stating, “humanity” is “to till the ground” (Gen. 2:5), and then at the conclusion of the Narrative it states that humanity is sent from Eden “to till the ground” (Gen. 3:23). The Natufian culture which inhabited Mt. Carmel (trans. “high garden land”) around 10,000 BCE presents with the clearest evidence of the transition from the Paleolithic hunter-gatherer cultures to the Neolithic urbanized, agrarian cultures.
When the Hebrew Eden Text is “word-for-word-bound morpheme by bound morpheme” translated an ancient Wisdom Narrative emerges describing the transition from the Paleolithic hunter-gatherer to the Neolithic urbanized, agrarian human culture.
