From my understanding the Illuminati organization is really just a smoke screen for a worldwide conspiracy that has been covered up for at least 1500 years. In the late 1800's there was an anti-masonic league that spread wild propaganda across Europe.
Initially it began innocently enough with a highly confusing boycott of all blue colored beverages in France, which also eventually took hold in many other countries.
Then they started plastering inflammatory posters on most public buildings.

The highly publicized "Jeu de la Casserole" campaign was originally an attempt to warn the public, that the masonic organizations were not truly followers of some fringe version of Judeo-Christian gathering, rather was in fact a much darker brand of sacrificial worship.

One of the rituals outlined in the "Great Book" was a detailed explanation and instructions for the summoning of demon like beings into human forms.
These beings were universally described as the "Lords of Recipe".

One major sect that was entirely devoted to casserole worship was centered in Omaha Nebraska and up until the beginning of World War II they had a clear presence not only in Nebraska, but also in much of the country.

The idea that the Freemasons or anyone else was somehow involved in this original and much more ancient cult has evolved over time into a truly unfortunate set of circumstances.
