Taken modafinil for 1 yr, for hypersomnia.
a wonder drug;i still slept at night but in a healthy way.was able to wake up, refreshed from 7/8 hours sleep;as opposed to waking in a comatose way, after 14/16 hours sleep. also felt an unexpected improvement in mental clarity,energy, memory etc
yes, it was a wonder drug for me.BUT!!!
After about six months, i started getting a whole range of oral problems.
Hypersalivation, bizare facial involuntary movements around my mouth, teeth clenching, foul tastes etc.
its also becoming less effective for my hypersomnia, and tho' i take 400mg most days, i now sleep very long and heavy again; feeling awful upon waking, just like i used to.
I do get some benefit from the drug still; hence still taking it.
It partially helps me to get up, probably a bit sharper mentally for a briefer time.
Anyone else developing an immunity to the benefits? and experiencing the oral discomforts?
